The Petitioner had challenged the notice dated 4 December 2020 cancelling the lease executed by Respondent Industrial Development Corporation in favour of the Petitioner in respect of an industrial plot. The Writ Petition was filed on 9 December 2020. By an interim order dated 9 December 2020, the possession of the Petitioner was protected. 2.

Learned Counsel for the parties point out that the term of the lease itself has now come to an end on 25 November 2021. That being the position, the Petitioner will have no right to continue possession of the concerned plot beyond the period of lease, which is not renewed.
