Heard Shri K. Nalamwar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mrs. K.R. Deshpande, learned AGP for the respondents.

The learned AGP seeks time of one year to adjudicate the caste claim.

By order dated 07.07.2017, we have already directed Respondent No. 2 to provisionally consider the petitioner as Other Backward Class (OBC) candidate for the purposes of admission. Accordingly, she has been considered and granted admission to Second Year B. Tech. (Instrumentation Engineering) course.

In this situation, we direct Respondent No. 1 - Committee to adjudicate the caste claim of the petitioner at the earliest and in any case within a period of one year from today. The education and admission of the petitioner shall remain protected in the meanwhile and shall be subject to said adjudication.

Writ Petition is accordingly disposed of. No order as to costs.
