Heard.

The applicant is arrested on 23rd June, 2017 in connection with crime registered against him and three others for the offences punishable under sections 8, 21 & 29 of Narcotic Drugs Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985. The accusations against the applicant are that he has a direct connection with the supplier of Heroin. The application is opposed on the ground that the investigation is in progress and custodial interrogation of the applicant is necessary to unearth certain information. According to investigating agency, the applicant is a habitual offender and earlier also, crimes for similar offences are registered against the applicant. Considering the facts of the case, I am not inclined to grant the prayer made in the application at this stage. The application is dismissed with liberty to the applicant to reiterate his request after the charge-sheet is
