Heard.

Apprehending arrest in connection with Crime No.209 of 2017 registered for the offence punishable under Sections 409, 420, 468 and 471 of the Indian Penal Code, the applicant has sought pre-arrest bail.

The accusations against the applicant are that while discharging his duty as Secretary of Gram Panchayat, Talap (BK), the applicant has forged signature of Sarpanch on two cheques issued to Arun Pandhare and Rameshwar Kale and by this he has misappropriated the amount of Rs.48,700/-.

By order passed on 11th July, 2017, this Court has granted interim protection to the applicant imposing condition of attendance at the police station. The nonapplicant has not complained that the applicant has not complied with the order. The non-applicant has not been

2 aba488.17 able to point out that custody of the applicant is required for further investigation.

Considering the facts of the case, the order passed on 11th July, 2017 granting protection to the applicant is confirmed.

The application is allowed accordingly.
