The applicant/ original respondent has sought review of the judgment passed by this Court on 14th June, 2017. The submission on behalf of the original respondent is that the original petitioners are protracting the matter before the Labour Court and therefore, while disposing the writ petition, by the judgment of this review, this Court should have directed the Labour Court to dispose the matter within stipulated time. It is submitted that this Court has failed to exercise jurisdiction vested in it.

The argument made on behalf of the original respondent for seeking review of the judgment is fallacious and misconceived. It cannot be said that failure on the part of the Court to give directions to the subordinate Court or Authority to dispose the matter within stipulated time can be said to be an error apparent on the face of the record which necessitates exercise of review jurisdiction.
