DATE : 28/08/2018 By passage of time the writ petition has become infructuous. The petitioner has a remedy of challenging the election of the respondent no.4 by way of filing election petition. The disqualification is sought on the ground that the respondent no.4 was in arrears of taxes and did not produce the caste validity certificate.

The petitioner is at liberty to approach the appropriate authority seeking the disqualification of the respondent no.4 on any such ground, if it is permissible in law. The writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
