DATE : 06/10/2025 It is undisputed that the petitioner was not superseded by the promotion of any junior employee. The grievance raised is that, although the petitioner was eligible for promotion, the same was not granted. The learned School Tribunal dismissed the appeal, holding that the matter in question was beyond its jurisdiction. The learned School Tribunal does not have jurisdiction to direct the Management to grant promotion to any employee except in a case of supersession. Since there is no supersession, the Tribunal was justified in dismissing the petition for want of jurisdiction. No case for interference is made out. Accordingly, the petition is dismissed.
