DATED : 08-01-2021 The applicant is apprehending arrest in Crime 497/2020 registered with Karanja Police Station, District - Washim for offences punishable under Sections 353, 379, 420, 188, 141, 147 and 149 of the Indian Penal Code, Section 11 of the Maharashtra COVID-19 Act, 2020 and Section 51-B of the Disaster Management Act, 2005. 2.

Perusal of the report reveals that no direct role as such is attributed to the applicant in the alleged excavation and theft of sand. The allegation against the applicant is that he called the Tahsildar and asked him to release the truck of the co-accused Mohd. Salim Abdul Majid Hasmani.

The investigation is complete and the chargesheet is filed. 4.

The interim protection granted vide order dated 02-6-2020 is made absolute.
