Heard learned Assistant Government Pleader Mrs.Mrunal Barabde for respondents. None appears for the petitioner.

Learned Assistant Government Pleader Mrs.Barabde, makes a submission that this writ petition has rendered infructuous.

From the petition, it appears that the petitioner was elected as Member of Sonala Gram Panchayat in the year 2015. On 2.9.2016, the Collector declared the petitioner as disqualified from the post of Member of the Gram Panchayat for non submission of Caste Validity Certificate within prescribed time limit. However, no notice was given to the petitioner. The Caste Scrutiny Committee issued Caste Validity Certificate to the petitioner. On 30.9.2016, the Committee sent the Caste Validity Certificate of the petitioner to respondent No.2. On 13.4.2017, the petitioner gave application to respondent No.1 for restoring .....2/-

wp4844.17 16 the petitioner to her post of Member of Gram Panchayat. However, the said was rejected and, therefore, the said writ petition was filed.

On 28.7.2017, interim order was granted in favour of the petitioner directing the parties to maintain status quo .

Learned Assistant Government Pleader Mrs.Barabde, submitted that term of the Gram Panchayat constituted in 2015 is over and, therefore, elections are conducted on 15.1.2015. Therefore, this writ petition has rendered infructuous.

In the light of facts narrated in the petition, submissions made by learned Assistant Government Pleader have force. Therefore, it appears that learned counsel for the petitioner is not appearing in the matter. 7.

In this view of the matter, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous.
