It is brought to our notice by the counsel for the petitioner that against the caste certificate dated 16-6-2016 issued in favour of the petitioner as belonging to 'Thakur', the very claim for issuance of validity is pending with the respondent-Committee since 17-5-2018. 2.

In this background, we deem it appropriate to direct the respondent-Committee to decide the claim of the petitioner for validity of his caste within a period of six months from the date of physical appearance of the petitioner before the respondent-Committee. 3.

The petitioner undertakes to appear before the respondent-Committee on 26-8-2024.
