DATE: 14.09.2022 The grievance of the petitioner is that the trial against him for offences punishable under sections 7, 13(2) read with section 13(1)(d) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, and section 120-B of the Indian Penal Code is progressing at snail's pace.

The petitioner emphasizes that the chargesheet is filed in November 2014, the charge was framed on 31.12.2015 and since 2018, P.W. 3 is being examined.

Prima facie, the grievance is not unjustified. 4.

However, the learned counsel for Central Bureau of Investigation Mrs. Mugdha Chandurkar assures the Court on the

2 wp569.2022..odt basis of instructions received, that the trial shall be concluded within the next six months provided the delay is not due to reasons attributable to accused. We accept the statement and dispose of the petition.
