The petitioner has been elected as Corporator and has given an undertaking to furnish validity within a period of six months.

The Committee, through Respondent No. 2 is seeking time of one year to complete the exercise. 3.

Nobody appears for the petitioner.

Ms. N.P. Mehta, learned AGP appearing for respondent No. 2, points out the difficulties being faced by respondent No. 1 in the matter.

We cannot accept such difficulties when an undertaking itself contemplates submission of validity within six months.

On 02.08.2017, while issuing notice in the matter, we have taken note of submission of the petitioner that there is validity in the family.

In this situation, Respondent No. 1 - Committee to complete the verification within a period of six months from today. Interim orders dated 02.08.2017 to continue till then and shall be subject to it.

Writ Petition is thus partly allowed and disposed of. However, in the facts and circumstances of the case, there shall be no order as to costs.
