The learned counsel for the appellant/applicant seeks leave to amend the cause title, as the appeal has been inadvertently styled as an appeal under Section 378 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. Further, counsel also seeks leave to amend. In fact, the complainant/applicant is the mother of victim/son, and therefore, it can be directly styled as a Criminal Appeal under the proviso to Section 372 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. 2.

Leave granted to amend. The necessary amendment shall be carried out within a period of 14 days. List thereafter.
