The short submission is that while the trial has commenced and as many as six witnesses are examined by the prosecution, since January, 2021 no witness is examined. It is submitted that since the applicant is in custody since 2018, he may be permitted to apply for bail before the learned trial Judge.

Considering that no witness is examined since January 2021, the applicant shall be at liberty to apply for bail before the learned trial Judge, and the application shall be considered on its own merits.

The trial Judge is requested to decide the application for bail, if such application is preferred, as expeditiously as possible.

This application is disposed of in the aforestated terms.
