By this petition, the petitioner seeks a direction to the respondent-scrutiny committee to decide the caste claim of the petitioner within a time frame.
Shri Khubalkar, the learned Assistant Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the scrutiny committee states, on instructions, that the scrutiny committee has invalidated the caste claim of the petitioner on 24.8.2015. A copy of the order is supplied by the learned Assistant Government Pleader to the learned counsel for the petitioner in the court today.
Since the caste claim of the petitioner stands invalidated, the petitioner would have other remedies. The cause for filing the writ petition would not survive in view of the subsequent development. The writ petition is disposed of with no order as to costs. JUDGE JUDGE Gulande
