The only prayer made by the petitioner is for a direction to the respondent-Collector to grant benefits under the Rehabilitation Package Scheme to the petitioners.
It is stated on behalf of the petitioners that though the petitioners are entitled to the benefits under the Rehabilitation Package Scheme and the award is passed on 2.1.2011, the respondentCollector has not granted the benefits to the petitioners, as yet.
Shri Bhagde, the learned Assistant
19.10.wp.5734.15 Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents, on the basis of the instructions from the Officer who is present in the Court today, and the documents in support of the instructions, states that the petitioners have been communicated on more than a couple of occasions by the respondents 1 and 2 to approach the respondent no.1 for receiving the benefits under the Rehabilitation Package Scheme but the petitioners have not turned up. It is stated that instead of approaching the the Collector for securing the benefits, the petitioners have unnecessarily approached this Court, by filing the Writ Petition.
On the statement made by the learned Assistant Government Pleader, which would be binding on the respondent no.1, we dispose of the Writ Petition, with no order as to costs.
