DATE : FEBRUARY 06 , 2020 .
Shri A.S. Jaiswal, learned Senior Advocate for the petitioner submits that when the original application was filed in the year 1992, the petitioner was aged about thirty years as could be seen from the cause title of the original application filed before the Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal. In those proceedings, the petitioner sought a declaration that he was entitled to be appointed to the post of Assistant Conservator of Forest. The said original application was dismissed by the Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal which order is challenged in the present writ petition. It appears that presently the petitioner would be aged about sixty years and therefore no useful purpose would be served by adjudicating the grievance of the petitioner at this stage. In view of that, since the relief claimed in the original application cannot be now granted due to passage of time, the writ petition stands dismissed. Rule stands discharged. No costs.
