By this petition, the petitioner impugns the order of the Chief Officer, Nagar Parishad, Washim dated 12-11-2014 rejecting the application of the petitioner for appointment on compassionate ground. On hearing the learned counsel for the parties and on a perusal of the impugned order, we do not find any reason to grant the relief sought by the petitioner. The petitioner's father was not appointed as a Peon in the Nagar Parishad after following the due process of selection. The services of the father of the petitioner, who died while in service, were regularized as a 'special case' when he was working on daily wages with the respondent - Nagar Parishad. The Nagar Parishad, therefore, rightly rejected the application filed by the petitioner on the basis of the circular dated 17-3-2006 that provided that the legal heirs of the employees, whose services are .....2/-

2 wp6158.15.odt regularized as a 'special case' when they were working on daily wages, would not be entitled to seek the benefit of the scheme for compassionate appointment. In view of the circular of the year 2006, the petitioner was not entitled to be appointed on compassionate ground.

Since there is no merit in the writ petition, the same is dismissed with no order as to costs.
