Deshpande, the learned Deputy Solicitor General of India appearing for respondent Nos. 2 and 3 has invited our attention to the order dated 5.7.2024 issued by the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Department of Personnel & Training, Government of India, whereby Mr. Ashutosh Nilkanth Karmarkar, the then Principal District Judge is appointed as a Judicial Member in the Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal so also Mr. Nitin Gadre, Additional Chief Secretary (Services), G.A.D. Mantralaya is appointed as Administrative Member.

The copy of the order issued by the Government of India to the aforesaid effect is taken on record. 3.

As far as the vacancies on the ministerial side is concerned, we could notice that appropriate steps are being taken by the Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal on administrative side so also the State Government for filling up the said posts.

We deem it appropriate to take note of the same as could be inferred from the affidavit of the Additional Chief Secretary, G.A.D., Government of Maharashtra. 5.

With only observation that all efforts be made to fill in the vacant posts on the administrative side as expeditiously as possible and in any case within six months from today, we deem it appropriate to dispose of the public interest litigation as the same has served its purpose.
