DATE : 18.11.2016 Since the petitioner has an alternate remedy under the provisions of Section 53 (2-A) of the Maharashtra Village Panchayats Act, if the Panchayat fails to take action on the application of the petitioner for removal of encroachment, the learned Counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner would make an appropriate application before the Collector under the said provisions. The learned Counsel seeks permission to withdraw the writ petition.
