The petitioner seeks directions to the Industrial Court to decide U.L.P. No.71/2019 in time-bound manner. We are conscious of the fact that the Courts are burdened with massive backlog of cases, many of which are very old cases. In such circumstances, we are not inclined to issue any directions. Nevertheless, we grant leave to the petitioner to file an application before the Industrial Court for expeditious hearing of the U.L.P.

In the event, the petitioner makes out grounds for expeditious hearing, the Industrial Court shall consider the application favourably.
