Learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to amend the petition and add certain prayers in the light of the subsequent events.

We are of the opinion that it will be better to file appropriate substantive petition in the light of the subsequent events as the relief sought in the present petition does not survive.

Accordingly, the public interest litigation stands disposed of, with liberty to the petitioner to file afresh, if he so desire.
