By the present application, the applicant is seeking condonation of delay caused in preferring the appeal. 3.

The contention is that the applicant/appellant has been convicted and sentenced to suffer imprisonment for the remainder of the appellant's natural life. The appellant is in jail since the date of his arrest. The family of the appellant is layman, and therefore, the appellant could not file the appeal within the limitation period. 4.

Since the appeal is a statutory right, the substantial justice cannot be denied for technical reason. Considering the fact that the appellant is in jail since the date of his arrest, the delay caused in filing the appeal is hereby condoned.

The criminal appeal be registered and numbered accordingly.

The criminal application stands disposed of.
