The petitioner has an alternative and efficacious remedy to approach the Appellate Authority in terms of Rule 6 of the Maharashtra Prison (Furlough Parole) Rules, 2024.

The petitioner may file appeal in terms of the aforesaid Rules within a period of 15 days from today. The Appellate Authority shall proceed to decide the appeal within stipulated time i.e. 30 days from the date of presentation of the appeal. 4.

With aforesaid liberty, Criminal Writ Petition is disposed of.
