Perused the First Information Report (FIR) and reply filed by the prosecution. It was a case of assault. The main allegations are against co-accused. The role attributed to the applicants is at the most to the extent of presence on the spot. Having regard to the said special feature, custodial interrogation is not necessary. In view of that, applicants have made out case for pre-arrest protection. Hence following order:- (I) Application stands allowed and disposed of.
