In the present petition, the issue relating to the supply of portable water has been raised. It is the case of the petitioner that despite repeated requests to restore the supply of portable water to Village Wadi, Tah. Khamgaon, District Buldhana, no action has been taken, though the petitioner has complied with all necessary requirements. The last response to such request was made on 13/03/2024 by the Executive Engineer, Rural Water Supply Department, Zilla Parishad Buldhana, whereby a promise was made to conduct an inquiry and take necessary steps by 18/03/2024. However, it is alleged that nothing has been done by the respondents thereafter. 3.

We are of the opinion that, considering the nature of grievance and the urgency involved, it would be appropriate to dispose of the writ petition with a direction to Respondent No.2 to look into the matter and take a decision at the earliest, and in any case within a period of four weeks from today.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.2 to take decision regarding grievance of the petitioner for supply of portable water to Village Wadi, Tah. Khamgaon, District Buldhana. While taking such decision, Respondent No.2 shall also consider the grounds raised in the petition and the documents filed along with the petition.

The said decision shall be taken by the respondent No.2 within a period of four weeks from the date of furnishing a copy of this order along with the petition.
