JUDGMENT

(PER : A.S. CHANDURKAR, J.) RULE. Rule made returnable forthwith considering the limited relief sought.

The petitioner was working as Peon with the Municipal Council Tumsar who has retired on attaining the age of superannuation on 31.12.2017. Since all his retiral benefits were not paid he has approached this Court.

The learned counsel for the Municipal Council submitted that reply has been filed on 21.01.2022 in which it has been stated that the dues remained to be paid to the petitioner are to the tune of Rs.1,23,597/-.

Considering the aforesaid, the Municipal Council is directed to pay an amount of Rs.1,23,597/- to the petitioner within a period of eight weeks from today. If the amount is not paid within the aforesaid period, the same shall carry interest at the rate of 6% per annum till the actual payment is made.
