This application is filed for grant of permission to amend the petition.

The petitioner by way of present application for amendment to the petition has sought quashing and setting aside of the Gazette Notification dated 3rd December, 1987. According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, there is already reference in the petition to the aforesaid Gazette Notification, however, challenge to the same could not be incorporated.

The fact remains that this Court after having observed that the petition is only for the purpose of academic interest, the petitioner has moved the present application by way of an afterthought. 4.

The 1987 Gazette Notification is sought to be questioned after a period of almost 36 years.

In view of above, the application for amendment stands rejected.
