DATED : 04/09/ The learned advocate for the applicant/appellant states that the delay in filing the appeal is not deliberate, the applicant/appellant is an aged woman and the delay in filing the appeal is caused on account of the reasons stated in the application. It is further submitted that though the applicant/appellant has explained the delay in filing the appeal, she is willing to forgo the claim for the interest on the enhanced amount of compensation for the period of 1017 days, if granted by this Court.

Accepting the explanation given in the application and the above submission, the delay of 1017 days in filing the appeal is condoned.

The civil application is allowed accordingly. No costs.
