This is an application for suspension of sentence and grant of bail. This appeal was admitted on 27.07.2018 and notice was issued on this application. The appellant has been convicted by the impugned judgment and order for offences punishable under Sections 354 and 354-A of the Indian Penal Code and Section 8 of the Protection of Children from Sexual offences Act, 2012 and sentenced to suffer rigorous imprisonment for 3 years. It is pointed out that the appellant has already been in custody for a period of about nine months during the pendency of the trial and after the impugned judgment and order was passed by the trial Court.

In these circumstances, it will be in the interest of justice that the instant application is allowed. Accordingly, the sentence imposed on the appellant is suspended during the pendency of this appeal and he is directed to be released on bail on furnishing a P.R. Bond
