This Court has taken suo motu the cognizance of the shortfalls in the Bare Acts published by the State Government. The order was passed in the year 2011, where certain directions were issued.

Rule was issued in this Petition on 9 October 2012. Thereafter, the Petition has not placed on board for

257wp4890 last 10 years. The cause which led to this Court to take suo motu cognizance would itself have undergone substantial change in the last decade. The official version of the enactment are now provided on the website of the Central and the State Government and apart from hard copies of the Act, soft copies of the Act are also freely available. 3.

In light thereof, based on the position as of year 2010, there would be no warrant to continue to take action in suo motu jurisdiction. Leaving it open for any public spirited person or any bonafide organization after taking review of situation prevailing as on today, we terminate proceedings initiated suo motu proceedings.
