Heard. Rule. Rule made returnable forthwith. Heard finally consent of learned counsel for the parties. 3.

Considering the alternate prayer made in this petition, this petition is taken up for final disposal forthwith. 4.

We find that the representation / objection of the petitioner regarding preparation of seniority list which he states to be incorrect is pending since November 2021 before the Departmental Promotion Committee (for short "D.P.C.) and as

informed by the learned counsel for the petitioner meeting of the D.P.C. is to be held on 27.9.2022. Considering the long pendency of the representation / objection of the petitioner before D.P.C. it would be in the fitness of things that the representation / objection of the petitioner is decided expeditiously by putting the same on fast track by respondent No.2.

We, therefore, direct respondent No.2 to decide the representation / objection of the petitioner dated 10.11.2021, which is stated to be reiterated in representation dated 27.7.2022 at the earliest and in any case, latest by 26.9.2022 before the meeting of D.P.C. is held, in accordance with law. 6.

Rule is made absolute in the above terms. No costs. 7.

Steno copy of the judgment be furnished to the learned counsel for the parties.
