Date : 16 th April, 2018 On the last occasion, we asked the learned Additional Public Prosecutor to take instructions as to whether the petitioner-accused is still undergoing imprisonment or is released from jail after completion of the sentence. It is reported that on 1-4-2014, the petitioner-accused is released from jail, as he has completed the sentence.
The claim in this petition was for grant of benefit under the Golden Jubilee Scheme in respect of remission in the sentence.
The petition, therefore, becomes infructuous. It is dismissed as such.
