The petitioner seeks writ of mandamus directing the respondents to act upon Government Resolution dated 03.06.2017 granting remission for the period of three months. It is petitioner's contention that though, the Sessions Judge has recommended the petitioner's case, however, no action has been taken. The petitioner is not aware as to whether his case for remission on above count was decided on the basis of recommendation made by the Sessions Judge dated 26.05.2023. 3.
In view of the above, we direct the respondent No.2 Superintendent of Jail, Central Prison, District Nagpur to decide petitioner's urge for remission, if not already decided within two weeks from the date of receipt of this order, in accordance with law and intimate the decision to the petitioner. 4.
We also direct the respondent No.2 - Superintendent of Jail, Central Prison, District Nagpur, to file compliance within two weeks to the Registry of this Court. If compliance is not TAMBE
