CORAM : A. S. CHANDURKAR, J.

DATE : December 06, 2019 The grievance of the petitioner in this contempt petition is non-compliance of the judgment dated 22/10/2012 in Writ Petition No.201/2011. By that judgment the services of the petitioner were directed to be instated with the respondent. The respondent has thereafter challenged the aforesaid judgment of this Court in Civil Appeal No.5362/2017 before the Honourable Supreme Court. Interim orders have been passed therein directing payment of Rs.5,00,000/- to the petitioner which amount has been thereafter enhanced by Rs.1,00,000/-.

In view of the fact that the challenge to the judgment is pending before the Honourable Supreme Court, it is not necessary to keep the contempt petition pending. The petitioner is at liberty to take appropriate steps after the proceedings are decided by the Honourable Supreme Court. The contempt petition is therefore disposed of.
