The contention raised in this writ petition is that temporary service rendered after selection, with prescribed eligibility and pay scale, is to be treated as qualifying service for the purpose of granting benefits under the Career Advancement Scheme. 3.
Learned counsel for petitioners submits that duration of such service rendered by the petitioners is already mentioned in a chart at Annexure P-26. In order to buttress his contention, he further submits that the case is governed by UGC Regulations, 2010, and UGC Regulations,2018. According to the petitioners, though he has submitted detailed representations to respondent Nos. 2 and 3, till date, no action has been taken.

Be that as it may, the said issue can very well be decided by the concerned respondents. Accordingly, we dispose of the present petition by passing the following order:
ORDER
a] Respondent No.3 is directed to evaluate and decide the issue of counting the temporary service of the petitioners as rkn
10wp6995.2024.odt qualifying service as Career Advancement Scheme benefits, in accordance with law, within four weeks from production of this order.
b] If the petitioners are found eligible, proposals for Career Advancement Scheme benefits shall be forwarded for approval to respondent No.1, within a period of two weeks thereafter.
c] Respondent No.1 is thereafter directed to decide the issue of approval within four weeks from the date of receipt of this proposal from respondent - University.
d] If the respondent No.1 approves the proposal of the petitioners, the consequential benefits shall be disbursed within six months thereafter.
