By this contempt petition, the petitioner seeks action against the respondents for the delay in compliance of the order dated 11.10.2011 in Writ Petition No.1024 of 2011. It is stated that though the Municipal Commissioner was directed to consider the issue of age relaxation of the petitioner at the earliest and by 31.12.2011, the said issue was considered belatedly and the matter is now pending before the State Government since May-2015.

We do not find any reason to initiate any action for contempt against the respondents as the petitioner did not approach this Court within a reasonable time for seeking action against the respondents. The Municipal Commissioner has belatedly complied the order dated 11.10.2011. In any case, this Court had granted liberty to the petitioner to approach this Court if there is any grievance against any decision or omission to take a decision.

The petitioner is, therefore, at liberty to take up appropriate proceedings.

CP296-15 The contempt petition is disposed of with no order as to costs.
