ATE : MARCH 05, 2025 1) Mr.Deshpande, learned counsel for respondent Nos.2 and 3 does not dispute the position that the matter is covered by what has been held in Mohana Sharad Awari and others vs. State of Maharashtra in Writ Petition No.3411/2024 decided on 26/02/2025, which in turn relies upon Writ Petition No.5684/2023 which holds that since the G.R. dated 06/08/2002 permits grant of additional House Rent Allowance, the denial was unjustified.

2) Mr.Deshpannde, learned counsel for respondent Nos.2 and 3, as well as learned Assistant Government Pleader do not dispute that the G.R. dated 06/08/2002 applies to the petitioners and the petitioners were appointed in Naxalite and Tribal areas, considering which the petitioners would be entitled to additional House Rent Allowance in terms of G.R. dated 06/08/2002. The petition is allowed by directing respondents to grant benefit of additional House Rent Allowance to the petitioners, in terms of the G.R. dated 06/08/2002. The same shall be done within eight weeks from today. No costs. KOLHE
