Heard Mr. Shingane, learned counsel for the petitioners.

In view of a matrimonial dispute pending between the petitioner no.1 and the respondent no.2, the objection raised by the petitioner no.1 to the request for voluntary retirement put in by the respondent no.2 has not been considered, is the grievance raised in the present petition. 3.

In our considered opinion, pendency of a matrimonial dispute between an employee and his spouse cannot be a ground to be considered for accepting the request for voluntary retirement. This is more so, when domestic

3. WP 5575 of 2023.odt violence proceedings, at the behest of the petitioner no.1 against the respondent no.2, are already pending in an appropriate Court, in which application for maintenance filed by the petitioner no.1, is also under consideration. 4.

We, therefore, do not see any reason to accept the petition. The writ petition is, therefore, dismissed. No order as to costs.
