The applicant is seeking bail in connection with Crime No. 260/2022, registered with Police Station City Kotwali, Dist. Akola for the offences punishable under Sections 420, 468, 471 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860. 3.
In this case, the case-diary shows that there is ample material to connect the applicant with the alleged offence and to prima-facie arrive at a conclusion that he has forged the caste certificate to contest the election on a seat reserved for Scheduled Tribe (S.T.), whereas his caste certificate was for Other Backward Class(O.B.C.). 4.
The original caste certificate shows that, the applicant belongs to 'Koli' and comes under the Special Backward Class, whereas the fabricated and forged castecertificate shows that he belongs to 'Koli Mahadeo' - rkn

5.
Thus, considering the seriousness of the offence, I am of the opinion that the custodial interrogation of the applicant is necessary to find out, from where the applicant has obtained the forged and fabricated caste certificate. Accordingly, I pass the following order: The criminal application is rejected.
