In Original Application No. 724 of 2024 preferred by the petitioner against his transfer order dated August 14, 2024, the Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal, Nagpur (for short, 'the Tribunal') had taken a note of the fact about frequent transfers of the petitioner from June 19, 2023. As a sequel of the same, the Tribunal directed to maintain status quo in respect of the impugned order to the extent of the applicant/petitioner till August, 20, 2024, i.e. the next day.

On August 20, 2024, the original application was adjourned to August 21, 2024. On August 21, 2024, the Tribunal passed a detail order and expressed its intention to take the matter for final disposal after the parties complete their pleadings and accordingly posted the matter on August 27, 2024.

Since the interim order granted on August 19, 2024 and continued on August 20, 2024 is informed to have been not extended further, the same has prompted the petitioner to approach this Court.

The stand of the respondents is that the petitioner already stands relieved. This fact appears to have been brought to the notice of the Tribunal as could be inferred from the speaking order dated August 21, 2024. 4.

In this background, we deem it appropriate to dispose of the present writ petition by directing that the interim order passed by the Tribunal on August 19, 2024 shall continue to govern the proceedings till the Original Application filed by the petitioner is disposed of. Accordingly, the hearing of the Original Application filed by the petitioner before the Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal, Nagpur is hereby expedited. 5.
