This is an application for modification of order dated 04.04.2025 whereby the Committee was directed to decide the claim of the petitioner expeditiously and in any case, within a period of six months. The period of six months will lapse on 04.10.2025.

However, considering the fact that, the petitioner was admitted in Engineering course and his name is included in the provisional merit list displayed on 31.07.2025, the petitioner has to be submitted caste validity certificate before 04.09.2025 and therefore, he is asking for modification of the order to the extent that instead of 04.10.2025, the Committee shall decide the claim before 04.09.2025.

The learned A.G.P. opposed the present application on the ground that, the matter has been referred to the vigilance cell and after receiving the report, an opportunity will have to be given to the petitioner to reply on such report and thereafter, the claim can be decided after hearing the petitioner.

It is submitted that, considering the time which will be available up to 04.09.2025, if the request of the petitioner is accepted, it is difficult to comply and follow all these above referred procedures. We find substance in the submissions of the learned A.GP.

In that view of the matter, the application is rejected. However, it is expected that the Committee shall decide the application strictly in adherence to the time period given by this Court vide order dated 04.04.2025. (AJIT B. KADETHANKAR, J.) (ANIL S. KILOR, J.) C.L. Dhakate
