The petitioner is aggrieved for not supplying information sought by him under Section 7 of Right to Information Act, 2005. Following information was sought by the petitioner.

"Provide information regarding the number of employees working with Munitions India Limited, Ordnance Factory and the educational qualifications of all the employees working on the posts of CPW and Production Supervisor Laboratory Assistant, recognized by AICTE."

The Central Public Information Officer (CPIO) has provided information in following terms.

"The number of employees working in Munitions India Limited, Ordnance Factory is 1458. The total number of CPW is 413. There is no post of Production Supervisor Laboratory Assistant in this factory. No other information in relation to this is available with the factory."

As could be seen, the information as regards number of employees employed with Munitions India Limited, Ordnance Factory has been provided. The number of employees in the category of CPW is also provided. As regards qualification of the employees holding the post of Production Supervisor Laboratory Assistant is concerned, the CPIO has informed that the said post does not exist in the establishment and, therefore, no information is available in this regard. Despite such answer, the petitioner approached the first appellate authority, as also, the second appellate authority to find similar result. When enquired, the learned counsel for the petitioner failed to show that post of Production Supervisor Laboratory Assistant exists in the establishment of Munitions India Limited. That being so, I do not find any error in the impugned orders. The petition is accordingly dismissed with no order as to costs.

Fees of learned counsel appointed for the petitioner be quantified as per rules.
