By this writ petition, the petitioner seeks a direction to the respondents to pay the retiral benefits to the petitioner with effect from 01/05/2011, within a time frame.
Shri Shitut, the learned counsel for the petitioner, states that though the petitioner has retired on attaining the age of superannuation on 30/04/2011, the respondents have not paid the retiral benefits to the petitioner, till date. Shri Joshi, the learned Assistant Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, states on instructions that the pension case of the petitioner is being processed and steps would be taken to release the pension and the other retiral benefits in favour of the petitioner, at the earliest.
Since the claim of the petitioner for the retiral benefits is not denied, we dispose of the writ petition with a direction against the respondents to release the regular pension to the petitioner within three months and release the arrears of pension and the amount of gratuity payable to the petitioner within four months. Order accordingly. No costs.
