The Petitioner had given his property on lease to the State for a godown. Ordinarily, we would not have interfered with this purely contractual matter, but we find that there is an issue of administration indiscipline arising from the communication dated 06 May 2021.

The Maharashtra Government Servants Regulation of Transfers and Prevention of Delay in Discharge of Official Duties Act, 2005 (hereinafter "the Act") contains a specific Chapter No.3 - Prevention of Delay in Discharge of Official Duties. Section 10 SUMIT

2 / 2 21-WP-1080-2022 of the Act states that every Government servant shall be bound to discharge his official duties diligently and as expeditiously as feasible and normally no file should remain pending with any Government servant for more than seven working days. 4.

The Collector, Akola will examine the record as regards the communication dated 06 May 2021, and after satisfying about the contents of the communication, proceed to take further action. We place the responsibility on the Collector, Akola to examine the issue and take necessary action as the matter of supervision over the officers of Revenue in the district would be of the Collector. 5.
