The only direction sought by the petitioners is for expeditious adjudication of the applications preferred by the petitioners under Section 28A of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894. It is stated that the applications filed by the petitioners are still pending.

The Writ Petition is disposed of by directing respondent No.2 - Special Land Acquisition Officer, Sindhkhed Raja, District - Buldhana to expeditiously consider and decide the petitioners' applications filed under Section 28A of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 and preferably within a period of eight weeks from the receipt of the copy of this order. 4.
