Prima facie, this Court satisfied that the failure of Vidarbha Irrigation Development Corporation to deposit the compensation amount, which was to be deposited according to Shri V.G. Palshikar in the month of August / September, 2018, is extremely serious.

The Executive Engineer is directed to file his personal affidavit within a week explaining the failure to deposit the compensation amount.

This Court shall consider awarding higher interest and / or initiating action under the Contempt of Courts Act after perusing the affidavit of the Executive Engineer who prima facie appears to be responsible for the non deposit of the compensation amount.
