The learned advocate for the applicants/ appellants (claimants) has submitted that though delay of 2046 days in filing the appeal is explained and justified in the application, the applicants/appellants are wiling to give up interest on the enhanced amount of compensation, if granted by this Court, for the period of 2046 days.

Accepting the explanation given in the application and recording that the applicant/appellant will not claim interest for 2046 days on the amount of enhanced compensation, if granted, delay in filing the appeal is condoned.

The civil application is allowed accordingly. No costs.

Taken up for hearing on admission.
