In support of the grievance seeking direction to respondent Nos.1 to 7 to release and pay the outstanding amounts towards reimbursement of fees for the students admitted under 25% of the RTE quota, our attention is invited to an order passed on 24/09/2024 in Writ Petition No.5037/2024 (Pratap Memorial Charitable Trust and anr. vs. State of Maharashtra and ors.) along with Writ Petition No.5212/2024.

Recording that the facts in the petitions are identical to one which was decided by the Division Bench on 09/11/2023 in Writ

Chavan English Medium School vs. State of Maharashtra and ors.) with connected petitions, where a statement was recorded on behalf of the Education Officer (Primary) that the process of forwarding proposal and thereafter disbursement of the amount by the State Government, if petitioners are found to be eligible, shall be completed within period of six weeks time, we extend the similar directions to the respondents before us. 2.

We also grant liberty to the petitioners to approach the Court by availing appropriate remedy in case of rejection of their claim or on receipt of a lesser amount.

We therefore direct the Zilla Parishad to forward the proposal for disbursement of the amount to the State Government within four weeks and expect that the State Government shall disburse the amount within six weeks thereafter.

All the three writ petitions are disposed of in terms of the aforesaid direction.
