By this petition, the petitioner challenges the formation of the Wards for the election of Gram Panchayat, Madnapur.

Ms Udeshi, the learned Assistant Government Pleader, states that apart from the fact that there is no merit in the writ petition, the cause for filing the writ petition would not survive and the same has become infructuous as the elections to the Gram Panchayat have already commenced. It is stated that the elections are scheduled on 19.12.2015 and most of the steps in pursuance of the declaration of the election program have been completed. In view of the statement made by the learned Assistant Government Pleader, we dispose of the writ petition with no order as to costs.
